Thought window was sorted but Tuffx are 3-4 weeks turn around and really need it much sooner.
Tried a few local window manufactures and hopefully they can assist but waiting on call backs.
I seem to have under estimated this part!!!!

Managed to find a glass supplier and looking at next week or the week after at the latest.
Finally managed to get through and up the wall for the bottom drain after a few hours with the pick axe tonight until late. Plenty of wiggle room for joining the pipes and making sure all is level

Tuffx wouldn’t commit to a delivery date and said they are really busy so expect 15 working days which is why I went with these guys.
There wasn’t a massive difference in price with about 6 different firms, I was just keen to get it here so I can finish!

are you planning on using the orange soil pipe for your bottom drain, just looking at your pic,id go pressure mate,i was going to do same on my next pond as i thought pressure was out of my price, until chris at kitsu koi told me i could get 4 x 3m lengths of 4" and 18m of 2" for £200 delivered from them,no more wickes 1 1/2" waste pipe for me again, and i have 3 lengths of orange pipe now that will do my waste to house drain lol, andi

I have discussed exactly this with my local shop and they said they do over 50 pond builds a year and have done for 42 years and not had an issue with it.
What are the thoughts behind using an alternative?

im doing it just for piece of mind, ive had a pond for 12 years and just used pvc pipe for bd and all my above ground stuff as i always thought pressure was expensive, but after i stood on a piece of the orange stuff the other week (accidently) and it cracked i got concerned about putting a load of weight on it,ive got some pressure that i got connected to some valves i got given, ive stood on those loads of times and nothings happened, when i dismantled old pond i thought id test the 1 1/2" waste stuff so hit it on the floor,it cracked and shattered, done same with 2" pressure and it just bounced, andi

Food for thought. Hoping to get the majority of the pond and filtration finished this week and then just waiting on the window

I have heard the brown pipe is not uv protected so should not be used above ground, black and grey is ok.
Probably why it is cheaper.John

No the orange pipe is not UV stable and dependent on the manufacturer will depend of whether it can be solvent welded or not
Its also worth considering if you will need to fit sleeves to the valves to make them fit soil pipe, if you have to fit a sleeve at both ends then it may be cheaper using pressure pipe, also the fittings are mainly push fit which I personally wouldn't trust.
As said, if you can use pressure pipe that would be the best way to go4600 Gallon Concrete Block and Fiberglass

Made a cock up with the window order working from the original plans which was a 5 sleeper high build which has now changed to 4. Ordered the window 650mm high as I planned on having two sleepers below.
Everything is right with rebar, timerlock screws and metal brackets. Will I be ok with the glass as ordered and 3 of 4 cut for the window?

If your having a 50mm rebate then you will be putting the bottom edge into top of bottom sleeper and then 50mm into the 3 you cut out.might sound daft but you could put some timber on the cut out, going from top to bottom for more rigidity.andi

Going to check if I can amend the glass order and if not, will just strengthen it as much as possible.
I have already done rebar, timber lock through sides in each level on every corner and timberlock screw through top to bottom on each level along with metal brackets in every corner.
My worry was the bottom one is not secured below as it is on the concrete collar. If I have to I will get some flat brackets and attach to the collar as well and sleepers all around it.

looking back at your photos, isnt your bottom sleeper fixed to collar with rebar,so it shouldnt move anywhere, what i meant by window will be sat on bottom sleeper\is you will need to cut a 50mm rebate into that one for bottom of glass to sit into,im guessing your putting your sleepers upright not flat,so 800mm above ground,if your worried about bottom sleeper moving what you could do is when youve cut out hole for glass,is to drill through sleeper into collar and add a couple of extra pieces of rebar held in place with some resin, drill hole, squirt in resin and whack rebar in,i reckon you could get 3 short pieces in the gap evenly spaced say 300mm apart, andi

Going to have to do that as the glass is already under way and cannot change the size.
If it works I have a much bigger window than I had planned for (on the new plans!!!).
Need to purchase a circular saw to cut the recess for the window and then work on making the bottom sleeper as secure as possible.
