    Sez’s pond build mark 2

I’ve started this thread as my previous thread had the same title as Adster. It became too confusing for me, hence this new thread.

OMG . Have just seen the predictive text change on my title. I won’t be using this thread after all! Anyone know how to delete a thread?

    Well played Roy!

Sez, if you contact the mods they may be able to kill this thread for you. I dunno how you do that but I know that Feline and Keithatrax are mods. PM them maybe?

And the advert in the left column from a sponsor - "Single Muslim Ladies". You couldn't make it up could you!

Wonder how many members will have a look at this thread?

Well, I’m glad I made you boys chuckle but back to the serious stuff!

Here’s the link from the previous thread for my pond build.

I’ll keep updating on this one now - after checking for typo’s!

Got a lot of digging done this weekend. The pond shape and depth is done. Have decided against bottom drain this time. Maybe on the mk 3. Gotta put a layer of sand in, then underlay, liner and skimmer - then done.

Well done Sez. Have you considered a retro bottom drain instead? I've never had one but they're supposed to be superior to just having the pump in the pond.

Yes, I think when my pump goes I might look into one as a replacement.

I levelled out the bottom of the pond today and bought the underlay. Sunday is the big day of starting to fill the pond. I’m going to fill slowly over the week, using the water from the temporary pond and gradually through water changes fill it up.
