How to fibreglass around bottom drain and what to do with the gasket?
Hi All,
Im due to get my pond fibreglassed and wanted to know how it works with a bottom drain and the sealing gasket?
Is the gasket (used for sealing down a rubber liner) still required?
Should I leave this off completely? Then the fibreglass would just wrap over and into the bottom drain bonding to it.
Or should I still attached it (would add strength) and have the fibreglass wrap over it and into the bottom drain?
I have tried looking on line but can’t find anything on this issue.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Its not needed as the fiberglass will just go over the top and down the inside of the bottom drain, its only needed for a liner pond
There is no reason why you cant fit it and then fiberglass straight over it and down the sides unless it sticks up proud of the concrete which could trap dirt in the dip4600 Gallon Concrete Block and Fiberglass

If you look at this video it will give you an idea on what to do, although this looks like a JBR bottom drain the same principles apply
