Hello all, here we go again , the liner has just gone in, will be able to start filling towards the end of the week ( have to wait for the glue between the window and liner to cure ) .

Glad that progress is being made!
I'm a bit worried about what the builder has done to rectify the issues this time around though on your video. How substantial are the foundations on those support pillars? The steel tie into the old wall looks a bit shockingly fragile*
*I am not a structural engineer so what do I know?
Fingers crossed the big fill goes well. Your pond is going to look fantastic in that setting.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Hello all, finally had signoff from the structural engineer today, has delayed things a little waiting for this .
Here's the latest video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KjGVMS2BR0
Will now be able to completely fill the pond , switch the pump on and start testing the filters . Hopefully get some koi in the pond soon before the weather turns too cold .

Can anyone recommend an airpump for the pond and one for the filter please ? I hadn't realised there would be so much choice .
The pond is around 5 1/2 feet deep, around 14,000 ltrs .
My moving bed filter is a re-used IBC, so it would contain around 750 ltrs of water and I have 100ltr of media to add ( Hel-x 13 ).
Thanks.

I have ea air pumps. And highblows
In the past i had a superfish air pump. 17 years that pump worked. With no repairs. Stood outside in the open. Don t know if they make them anymore.
I have a ea 70 bottom drain
And ea 130 on my draco drum nexus bio.

Thanks Andi and Freddy for the recommendations on air pumps, the Hiblows look really good but a little too expensive, they'll have to be phase 2 . I found these two on special offer ( and highly scored on the reviews ) : Aqua Eco Hi-Blo 80 ltr / Hailea ACO 388D 80 , hopefully they'll do the job .
Don't worry Anne, those mice are temporary visitors, they live in the gaps under the patio slabs which will soon be filled .
Just ( hopefully ) made the last large purchase of the build, I've ordered these split faced tiles for the pond walls :
