Yer, 100%
Sodding drum pressure pump appears to have seized up after being left so long, at least I think that’s what it is.
Probably didn’t empty out properly and left it all connected up so it didn’t dry.
Out with the WD40 tonight it looks like.
Bums

mine stopped working the other week,is it a proper jet pump,if so you can turn motor with a screwdriver from back end of pump,if it spins it is probably same issue as mine, a £5.70 capacitor from rs components,,,,andi if it buzzes its probably capacitor

It’s an massive heavy Oase with possibly a cast iron (?) impeller housing.
Looks a bit orange inside so a prob with a screwdriver might get it moving.
Also going to lower it a bit as I think it’s maybe a bit high off the floor compared to the header tank.

Finally!!!!!!!!
Have the impeller a bash and all good.
Bloody Matsuk switch box is a bit sensitive. Took ages to get the shower pump going despite there being ample water.
Not sure I’ll be sleeping much over the next few day until I’m satisfied it’s all working.
Drum screen pretty dirty and have quite a bit of drawdown in the bio chamber so will see how that pans out.
Gonna ring Frim back now lol

Bigcarpchaser finally gets his bum into gear!
Bit of a modification required as I’m not happy with the head loss through the bio chamber so plan is to empty it out and drill some more holes in the inlet/outlet cover plates. Job for the weekend I think.
Little job for later, tighten a weeping valve on overflow and add a bit more plumbers tape to thread (still haven’t done that) as lost about 100l overnight. Pretty sure that’s the culprit as had that all closed off yesterday all day and never lost a drop.

Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
