    Lee...it’s getting there albeit slowly.
Waiting for glass now. Copings might go on tomorrow, drum on order.
So much left to do still but the difficult jobs are done at least.
Was going to turf the garden but hat will have to wait until the heatwave has passed. In the meantime have found a cheap 10x4m piece of green garden carpet that will have to be “grass” for the little chap to play on for a while.

    Glenn..looking good there too mate.
Nice French sturgeon or from over here?
Caught a few myself around 40lb from Etang Pierre a few years back, they’re proper mental eh? I caught the same one 3 times in one day lol

Glass arrived today so may get that in over weekend if sealant turns up.
    Copings all on.

    It’s all coming together nicely.
Now the football is over (booooooo) hopefully can crack on and finish finally.
I need to work out my “trickle in” and purification stuff now, haven’t got my head round that bit quite yet.
    Any pointers gratefully received.

Brazilian black slate, by pure chance we had enough left over after doing our patio/paving.
Hadn’t really given much thought to coping stones lol.
Anyway, had loss of samples from various suppliers and liked these the best, they were a decent price also.
Best of all, there was very little wastage, certainly less than the 10% I allowed for hence the left overs.
Have 3 whole tiles left of which I’ll use two for the window cill I think.

Deffo shop around as some of the Chinese stuff is proper rubbish.
I had this mad idea to use Welsh slate, grabbed some samples as yes, it was lovely however it was also 5 times the price!!
It’s only got to come down the M4 not halfway round the world lol
    Was gobsmacked

    Thanks Roy.
Taken too long thinking and planning really and definitely too long building but hey ho, life kinda gets in the way.
Glass is here and was hoping to get that in this weekend but had already committed to hosting a big bbq therefore had to get the garden in some sort of order. Has been too hot to lay turf so Mrs BCC laid her hands on some garden carpet which all the kids can play on and not get covered in dust/straw.....worked out pretty good to be fair. Will leave it down the rest of the summer then it can either go in the garage for another time or to the tip if it’s knackered.
