    fiberglass

    hi all i have got a kocney koi 5000 filter but its only a 3 inch feed ,could i fiberglass a 4 inch tank conector onto it to replace the 3inch feed into my vortex. thanks

    cut out the 3inch inlet and make the hole big enough to fit a 4 inch tank connector...mastic both sides and fit tank connector

    thanks i have got a 110 radial tank conector but the problem is when i put it against my vortex theres about a 1inch gap both sides but its flush in the middle

    cant you use a 4in to 3in rubber boot reducer ?

    I agree, rubber boots can cover most pipe differences and can be reused if and when you need to

    you can buy radial tank connectors ...... i improvised and heated a flat one then pushed it around the vortex ...plenty of mastic to compenstate for any gaps when screwing it up....trouble with reducers is the flow remains 3 inch....... 4inch is better

    hi if i used mastic wots the best and strongest i could get i dont want to wake up and see my pond empty because the seal has leaked
