Yea I know I’m biased, but just get an AEM drum followed by a JBR bio filter for under £1500. My pond is 5500 gallons and that set up is working perfectly for me (and my koi).
Admittedly I already had the 200 litres of K1 but I cannot stress enough how getting the drum and bio filter has transformed the hobby for me.
I have been keeping koi for many years and initially couldn’t justify the high price tags of the original drums, but when AEM brought one out for under £1000 which also includes an integral UV I took the plunge.
So glad I did because as I get older I can do without constantly climbing in and out of the filter bay to clean the filters etc.
I virtually have nothing to do maintenance wise so I have more time to enjoy my koi and take more interest in their health and well-being.

The second one you link to is just the drum module, includes no bio so you are only getting the drum and need to buy a second filter anyway.

Unfortunately 'small footprint' and 'koi pond filter' are not 2 things that generally go together. Bio needs surface area, and that requires space. Bead filters and showers are the smallest footprint bio filters.

Just a caution - never take the max flows declared by manufacturers for granted - their max flow rates should be divided by 1/2 to understad true potential - declared max flow is really this - max flow - not normal efficient flow rate - just food for thoughy....

Just illustration of what Feline pointed out correctly - my filter house - in pumped setup - is 2.3m by 1.4m - housing 600l IBC tank in which I have built Anoxic filter - but equally well it can hold moving bed with K1 or Hel-X media (up to 300L of it), on top of it I have AEM Easy Drum on the right end - and on the left end two denitrifying trickle towers - with 100L combined Hel-X 17mm media, on the outflow from AF I have small Bakki Shower with 40L of Ogata Crystal Bio - on the other side of filter shed there is Bakki shower combo with combined 130 L of Ogata Crystal Bio and 50L K1 - not really much more space for any other filtration there - outdoors - on heating line I have the latest addition - shower filter with 100L of Hel-X 13mm media - all of the filters DIY - only drum purchased.

Full filter house - prior thermal insulation of the Bakki shower combo in right bottom corner:

If interested you can check either Bakki shower DIY link here - https://www.koiforum.uk/water-treatm...wer-combo.html

or the outdoor version here https://www.koiforum.uk/water-treatm...or-shower.html

Both use square 300L rainwater harvesting tank as their filter housing - it can be equally well used also for moving bed if it is personal priority (one can hold up to 150L of K1 or Hel-X media) - I opted for shower filter design as in my pumped setup - if any power outage or pump failure happens, the water empties the shower filters - and no risk of going septic with nasty bugs outgrowing the good ones - but scientific reports indicate, that moving bed design might be more efficient for nitrification than shower design - against popular beliefs - but it all boils down to personal decision and preferences - everyone is free to choose from.

    Good luck!

That might be true for off the shelf filters, but if you make your own you can make it tall and thin to have decent space but a small footprint.
