Nearly there but the finishing touches take the time...

Fish are at last settling down, it has taken some time and a lot of playing with different lighting but they are getting there.

Kettle is on whenever you are over this way.

Koi look better seen from above but i do like my window to give a different aspect to my pond.
Its also easier to see any illness with my koi when they are feeding
Low cost solution - GoPro cam on submersible selfie stick - for us with in the ground pond like I am the only solution to watch - once filmed - what you guys with your own above ground ponds with windows enjoy every time you look at it.....not as good - but gives a bit of under the water perspective at least....

Great looking pond DaveJ - really nice retreat!

    Rog.G,

What about using harvested rainwater for cleaning of the drum? This is what I use - for toilets, garden watering as well as drum cleaning - it is very soft (no calcium for sure), slightly acidic (just adding soda bicarbonate once per month or so), no hamful patogens / chemicals as proven by lab tests - collected from 250 sqr.m flat roofs of our house + garage - prefiltered by 20cm of coase gravel on top of thee roofs plus 60 microns filter after the pumpp to avoid jets clogging - and 7.6 cub.m under the ground tank is topped off from mains - solenoid operated and keeping just 5cm difference between 2/3 full and max top up to limit fresh chlorinated water content (straight from mains w/o dechlorinator) - for proper dillution - so there are no traces of chlorine by the time it reaches the drum / pond as tested repeatedly.

Just food for thought - no RO needed on rain water - but it must be stored under the ground for proper quality and no bio growth inside - this setup works very well for me .....
