wow i bet it was cold in there!! a problem with bottom drain freddy? i got told that 2day about the light should b ok with it being 2100 of top of pond hight tho i would of thoght?

No mate. When pond was first getting topped up. And testing for leaks. Window had a leak bottom corner. Used gold seal under water
Did the buisness. That was my pond builder. Fixing the leak. What do you think would look better on the roof.

I remember u saying about leak on glass!! Don't no I'm thinking solid all sides will b open and get light so I'm thinking it will b fine!! But then I'm thinking will it b dark in day under there!!

mines solid,i used 18mm osb3 covered in felt,also enclosed 3 sides,i do have 2x10w daylight led floods but its not dark realy before they come on,i just use them for keeping kois colour,andi

Even polycarbonate blocks a certain percentage of sunlight rays. In the UK where it is winter half the time () I would go with clear polycarbonate, with the option of putting something shady on it just in the main heat of the summer if needed (scaffolding debris netting or similar is a good really cheap option for this).
Koi need a certain amount of natural light to develop good colours and also he totally healthy. It seems a bit crazy to me to totally shade the sun light out, then pay in electricity to replace it with an artificial bulb.2016 new 6000 gallon pond
