I used the round posts and it doesn't let much light in,didn't want the square posts to try and keep it informal.

Been away from the forum for a month or so not much happening on the pond front, however now that the house and garden are finally finished and to our taste the mrs has decided she wants to sell up and move. That means building a new pond in a new house and starting all over again . If we do decide to move what can I do do with the fish until the new pond is built, I wont have the luxury this time of a 2 year self build so will have to get a digger and a builder in this time.

Sounds like a nightmare Steve, you would have to get a temp pond at your new home and move the koi in there.
What would you do with your pond, knock it down or leave with house?
I dread that thought and often wonder if it would put off buyers or encourage them.John

Hi all, I've been away from the forum for a while while deciding of we were moving or not. We've decided to move not too far about 10 mins from where we are now. I need to get a new pond dug when we move but was wondering what people do with their fish and equipment whilst building a new pond. I'll not be doing it myself this time due to having livestock to think about so should be up quicker this time. The new house backs onto a field so I also need to think about this when thinking about the protection of the fish. There will be more questions I'm sure but hopefully not as many as last time. Should be moving around April time
