Ps. Just looking at your floor slabs. Not sure what you’re thinking of using to gap-fill / grout them but on a previous patio a fitter used GeoFix and it was legendary. Used some myself on some wall copings in my new place. Simple to use and resists mould, moss, and it’s flexible so doesn’t crack like mortar.
Defo worth a look.

Cheers black it is. A few people have mentioned different bits for the joints so will look into them all when I've laid all of the patio this one's the small one, I've got to go over the existing patio, down the side of the house and then around the front of the house to the it all in. Around 80sq meters all in laid about 10 so far

afternoon all where is the best place to buy the CT1 adhesive/sealant I think I need to buy quite a few tubes as I've left quite a big gap around the window so that I knew I could fir it in with no problems from memory its around 10mm on each side of the window but may be smaller. do I fill all of the gap with CT1 or do I fill it with something else first and then apply the CT1 over that, also is there a guide as to how much a tube will cover so I can try and work out how many tubes I will need to buy

That's the patio laid for the pond area just need to seal it and get the patio grout sorted. May have to wait till next year as I have the main patio area to lay still and want to get it all grouped and sealed together

That looks brilliant!
Think I would be wary about how well it seals if you used the slabs.

Alright mate, did you get your window in? I put mine in today and only used 1 tube. Window is 1200 x 600. I used it full on around the frame on 4 sides and then managed to totally fill the other side which had about 8mm gap all the way round. Went a lot further than I ever thought it would go. As long as it’s sealed all the way round I’m hoping it should be all good

back to the drawing board then for the coping stones if the limestone slabs will cause me problems I guess its not worth taking the risk. I've not fitted the window yet waiting for a friend of mine to dig out their suction cups to lift and secure it into place. I thought I was going to have to use loads of tubes my window isn't too different in size to yours so ill buy 3 tubes and should have some left over.

I used 4 tubes on the inside and 4 around the outside.
You can buy a box from ideal seal automarine sealant and then have extra left over if you have any leaks appear

window should be going in on Sunday evening, I've got some help to move it into position. is it ok to use cardboard as spacers or do I need to use plastic spacers, was thinking at least if the cardboard got stuck I could wet it and pull it out, if the plastic got stuck id be in trouble. I've got 10 tubes of HA6 to stick the window in and fill in the gap. do I let the window set and then fill the gaps or do I stick the window in and fill the gaps at the same time.

When i do mine im using plastic spacers, put 2 beads on front of glass and put in place and hold with something to keep pressure on,then next day remove spacers and seal round sides, well thats my plan lol, andi

When I did mine I used about 8 tubes to bed in the glass, with a 50mm full bead, it was supported with plastic spacers and held in position with 4 suction cups ratchet strapped to a ladder on the outside, I don't think cardboard would hold the weight. My glass was 2100mm x 750mm x 31.5mm thick, it took 4 of us to do the job
I finished it of 2 days later, the spacers came out quite easily.

Agree with Roy. The spacers come out quite easily with a little wiggling. Just give yourself the long ends to grab hold of laying them lengthways under the glass.
We also made sure the top two spacers had the shiny/smooth side facing each other to help them slide out.

thanks I'll take a trip to b and q tomorrow and pick up some spacers then, hopefully it all goes well and all I have to do then is get the coping stones on, plumb in the filtration and get the electrics run down to the shed. I can get it all up and running over the winter ready to start stocking in spring.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
