steve if you put insulation in pond you dont need a rebate,as when they glass you just leave a 50mm gap round window wall this then gets glassed and gives you your rebate, andi

This is the part I need help with I've got a white rubber gasket that goes between these 2 pieces do I just use that or do I need to put a bead of silicone each side of the gasket to make sure it doesn't leak I need to get this part together tonight so that I can fill the gap under the skimmer with cement to give it time to go off for Saturday thanks

    Steve,

Me I would put the thinnest smear of silicone on both sides of your gasket, it won't hurt. Don't screw it up too tight and deform the gasket.

Have you decided on using insulation on the walls or are you rendering?

Looking more like a pond now, have you booked your fiberglassing?
4600 Gallon Concrete Block and Fiberglass
2100 mm x 710 mm Infinity Window 32mm thick glass
2 x Aerated Bottom Drains and Skimmer
    Filtreau HiFlow 30 Drum Filter
    Bio Chamber - 140 litres K1
Bakki Shower - 30 KG Sakura Far Infrared Media
    2 x 18,000 lh pumps
Heated from house boiler through a heat exchanger
    Idealseal MS290

Pond is booked in for Saturday to be glassed hope he still turns up now England are playing Saturday. When I spoke to the glasser he said not to worry about rendering or insulating as the walls were flat enough to glass over

I'm using insulation to give it a little insulation from the cold, although I'm not convinced it makes much difference but it will also form the window rebate without rebating the blocks.

    Soon time for fish then

I was only using insulation to get a smooth finish but don't need to do that now. I've cut the rebate out for the window now too just hope it's deep enough roll on Saturday and glassing time

I'm after some black bull nose copings to go on top of the pond but I can't find any the size of the blocks they are either half the block size or 300mm which is too much of an overhang any ideas where I can get some from or and idea of what else I could use. I'm planing on using a grey split face tiles to tile the pond, shed and flower bed and use black limestone for the floor around the pond and replacing the existing patio
