Nice....
How about a nice lean to style pergola that would finish it of nicely....
You have the advantage of using the shed to run the pergola from....You get what you pay for...

Some photos of my Koi/Goldfish the weekend, I have added two beautiful Koi from Koi Logic (Ogata Koi) being the Hi Utsuri and Sanke, now total of eight Koi.
****DIY Filter Update****
I have added some fine mesh filtration to the filter and all is working well, I run the bottom back into the pond every weekend via hose connector into nylon tights this collects any debris, then I do a major flush out clean every four weeks.
All levels perfect, water clear, bit of blanket weed but this is under control, fish happy, feeding well and loving life!

Going to update the pond to make it 3800mm x 1930mm with bottom drain and window, existing pond will be deep area for winter, totally got the koi bug now and have ten in the pond at present so need it much bigger for when they grow.
Adjacent outhouse will be my pumphouse and my filtration will be once again DIY but on a much larger scale with four chambers and lots of media.
Going to take a while but that's what the hobby is all about aye!
Height will be as per line on the wall and square, going to level the front part of existing with ground so swimming area will be approx 775mm deep with the deep area being nearly 7ft deep.

Great stuff. That's a quick turnaround.
By outhouse do you mean the office room abutting the current pond?Last edited by dc197; 13-08-2017 at 06:54 PM.

I knew you would in the end. Koi fever gets to us all in the end. Haha.
the best thing your doing is a bottom drain. When you turn your out house to a pump house. And you make your own filters. Which I respect by the way. Think about this.
make the filter large enough so that you can drop a drum inside it. Or buy a stand alone one and use your home made filters as your bio.
also remember the air on the bottom drain. Good to see you have caught the koi bug.
its a great hobby. All the best mate Fred

Filter clean out today, wanted to net all the ten Koi but only got the four biggest, smaller ones were like lightning quick, managed to get a photo of the Yamatonishiki (Ogata) and Sanke (Ogata) but the two yellow Ogons, Kohaku and blue Shusui (Ogata) evaded
Photos below of Hiutsuri (Ogata), Bekko, Chagoi and Golden Shusui.

Finally took the plunge and purchased a Nexus 220, tops up its off of RJW2012 from this forum, via eBay (only just looked on equipment for sale page and see he advertised it earlier on here)
Looks extremely well looked after and includes air pump, evo30 and media, boots etc., very happy!
