Looking great. Still my “go to” pond build thread when looking to see how to do things without cutting corners.
How’s the combi performing?

It's good to see the pond again now you have the render done. Looks great! Can I ask where you got the glass supports from? I have been unable to find any less than a metre or so high. My longest span is 2.4m and I would prefer not to have that as one single length if possible.

Wow!
Looking really fantastic. I like the glass fence around the top of the pond.
Can you tell me where you got it from and the cost please, It looks like just the thing I want to do.
Regards
Peter

Combi doing great, although ofc its impossible to know how much of the bio is being done by the combi and how much by the shower.
Ive needed to do incredibly little maintenance on it really in nearly 3 years. Give the waste chute a hose off every couple on months, changed the UV bulb once, dumped the whole thing to waste every few weeks and purged the drains.
Oh and I did once have to replace the 4 bypass bungs because they seem to go brittle with exposure to UV and eventually split. Next ones I put in will have a disc of EDPM liner glued to them to protect them!2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Yes I will do the pergola myself. Im not bad at carpentry and have all the tools, however I think I will have to force my OH to help me lift some if the wood when it comes to assemble it lmao.
Sadly my son got a job in Germany 2 years ago so he is not here to use as a helper any more2016 new 6000 gallon pond

This is the first time I've seen the finish and it looks amazing, to me a perfectly designed koi pond the only thing I may possibly do is put a gazebo over top, and have a way of enclosing it through winter to retain the heat, but still be able to view the koi all year round

Peter and Rayman,
The balustrade posts were made by the guy at simplebalustrades.co.uk
I asked for 26cm high posts and he made them for me. They are not cheap at Ł40-50 each depending on if corner or end one, but they are marine grade stainless and look nice.
The perspex is 10mm thick clear from Perspex® Acrylic Cut To Size Perspex Sheet UK
I ordered it with the 20mm radius corners.
I can sleep soundly knowing my fish can't jump out with these on so I thought it worth the cost. It's easy to remove the panels if you want to net fish etc.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

My little Mukashi is growing well!
She was 26cm at the end of January when I moved her from an indoor aquarium to the pond. Not measured her since!
