freds new pond build
Im good to be fair fred, nearly a year now since my first op and im back on my feet fully.
Saw the post above about your big ghosties mate i do remember them mine is pretty much the same colour/shade as yours where ay.
Best pic i could just get of him as hes an elusive bugger mine lol not so much flighty as mentioned above about their traits but Jesus with mine when the net goes in the pond he comes out and i dont mean that as in hes in the net lol turns into a flying ghosty, he hates the net.

Poorly fish slowly getting better now mate.
Bit slower than I'd like, but off the critical list I'd say, and down to me to support the recovery. If I make one mistake he'll still be a gonner. Now that he's less likely to suddenly die from stress its time to transfer him to QT and get the wounds and fungus properly treated.
If it wasn't for the help from people on here and possibly some of the experience I've gained over the years, I'm pretty sure he'd be dead by now.

Haha, same as my new Showa.
Never seen anything like it, and never been scared of catching a fish before. The net didn't even go in to catch him, it went to have a closer look at another Koi, next thing I know the Showa is half way up my bamboo plant. In slow motion on the CCTV he looked like a salmon.
Salmon aren't related to carp are they?

Ha ha ha yep sounds very similar to my ghost that RS lol
Dont believe they are related bud. Goldfish are though
Sorry to hear about your mrs tropical tank too mate, it doesnt take much to upset the balance or bring something nasty in ay. Sounds like the place she got them from is to be stayed well clear of though.
