Not a problem mate. After all the nice weather here this week, it has decided to piss it down here today. If it stops I will get it unfolded out in the cul de sac and get the tape measure and scalpel out because its too big to open out in my garden!

I know I am taking the mick now, but any chance you could measure the thickness? I have just been looking at an eyelet punch, but it only does up to 1.2mm thickness.

Les

Thanks for taking the time to measure it. That ties up with a place selling them online, their PVC material is 900g/mē and 0.75mm thick.
In other news, this week, I finally grouted some slabs that I laid about 6 months ago. I also got some slabs down outside the back door and the bricks laid for a step. If my enthusiasm keeps up I might even finish that area over the next week. (Not bad, considering I dug up the old slabs a year ago)

Les

No I didn't die, well physically anyway, but you might say I have been suffering from a complete lack of enthusiasm for life for the last few years. Hopefully it was just a mid life crisis and is now behind me. The garden and pond has been left mostly unattended for the last couple of years. Most of the fish died, apart from about 5 koi and Bubbles the giant golden orfe, the UV stopped working well over a year ago and the water is like pea soup, so I am not entirely sure if there are any more fish in there. The piece of lorry curtain that Rayman so kindly donated me for the filter house roof has been sat in the corner of the garden. The huge pile of rubbish is still on the front drive and various other bits remained unfinished.
Anyway if anyone is remotely interested, I will post some updates and show you the Good, the Bad and the Ugly parts of my garden.
Regards,
Les

Hope life gets a lot brighter for you in the future Les, and some of that enthusiasm starts to
make a comeback, sooner rather than later, just little steps to begin with. Now get them photo's up please

Everyone seems to colour their ponds black, but the colour blue in Pointy's pond looks stunning, I've often thought if different colours would make the colour of the fish stand out more, particularly white.?

Its keeping it that colour you pond is a bio unit in its self with growth on the side . I had a blue liner in one of my little pond and was forever cleaning it till I read the growth help s so much . I think freddyboy washed the sides of his pond and water test went a bit shit after losing the bio . I could be making it up in my head but I think it's right haha

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, I will try and find my camera, blow off the dust and take some pics over the next couple of days (I do have one serious problem, which I could really use a builders advice on)
Incidentally the top coat is actually green, well the the 1 1/2 inches above the water is anyway.

I did pressure wash mine down. Because i had the dreaded black algi.
It is quite toxic. Some one on here put it on there lawn. And it burnt the grass away. So it was hurting my fish. Trace gave me a bit of advice how to get rid of it.
You Basicley have to reverse everything. Like my air. Sunlight in the top pond. But i also decided to pressure wash everything.
And it all worked.
It was a nightmare. It took my pond about a month to get my water parameters back to normal.
So yes your pond is one big bio mass.
I aint got a clue on colours. Eventually no matter the colours the bio and weed grow over it anyway lol
