Ex Kujaku
The kujaku I bought last year lost all its hi (red) so what is it now?

I have it down as a Gin Matsuba but could it be aMukashi Ogon or a Soragoi? I'm confused about the differences. Any clues?

That was my initial thought but most Matsubas I have seen have dark scales with light margin but this one is the reverse - I think the scales near his head are beginning to show more typical marking though and the look is right, so I will stick with that classification for now.
I really need some of the red from the Kujaku I have just bought to transfer on to this one and I would have two really nice fish lol.6000g in ground koi pond

Lol if only we could mix and match!
Yes agree - on reflection it is more like a Kujaku without beni! Looking at a couple of youngish Gin Matsuba that I have growing on, the sumi development of the scales starts from the centre, yours, shoulder area excepted, are developed with just the tips showing sumi.
