Looking for some Identification help
I have had this little chap for nearly a year now it was bought with the markings looking Dark Blue under the skin. Now some 9 months on I think the little fellow has the makings of a Shiro Bekko or a Shiro Utsuri. There is no colour below the lateral line. Interested in what others think of my assumptions of its breed
This is how he has turned out today.

I had a purichina ogon but there is small amounts of black appearing so i think the same is happening and it's going to turn into a bekko or somthing, but I agree with Tinca tinca on this one.

Thanks Ryan. When to see ken today and he said it was the same, he said it was looking good and had a lot of potential the silver scale on its head would fade as it's thin skin on its skull

Nice fish mate, it's something different too.
Went to see ken today to pick a few bits up, he is unbeatable on dry goods and food. Had a nose at his fish too but nothing took the eye.

The lack of sumi below the lateral line coupled with the placement of the sumi in the tail and pecs would clearly make this a Shiro Bekko.
However the metallic lustre on the head and pec seen in the picture makes this a Gin Bekko.

It's a Gin Bekko
For reference, when discussing metalic fish, gin is for silver, kin is for red or where red is present I.e Kin Showa
