    Koi Varieties Genetics

I have just learnt that some varieties are weaker than others.

Which varieties are generally weaker and stronger than others?.

I think koi like Chagoi, Ogons are stronger and Go sanke are weaker and harder to keep due to the cross genetics in trying to make the koi bigger etc.

    Many thanks in advance.

In my experience, Shusui's seem to be considerably weaker and more vulnerable to parasites and illness than any other variety. I've had a mixture of british, Israeli and Japanese bred specimens and all of them have either died or developed some sort of problem; so I'm convinced they're just a weak variety and not necessarily down to the quality of stock.
Strange considering they're cross breeds between Asagi and Mirror Carp, would've thought they'd be quite hardy.
