    Wanted for spring upgrade
7meter X 6 meter liner needs to be good quality to fit bottom drain (unlikely to have but worth a try)

    Spindrifter bottom drain
    8000 litr/hr dry pump
    4 inch slide valve
    90 deg pressure elbow
    air pump
I live in Rochdale Lancashire, could hire a van if nexus is reasonable
    Thanks
    Ian

There was an as good as new Nexus 220 on eBay last week for £400 which I posted a link to in another thread. Its gone now but they do come up really cheap now and again, just have to keep your eyes open as they go fast. I waited Months and nothing came up..... until a Week after I bought a brand new one and suddenly the used market was flooded! Sods law, aye.

Is 7x6m the pond dimensions or the required liner size? If its a box liner you need and you can't fine a good second hand one try Atlantica gardens who were cheaper than anywhere else for my box liner, but a box liner to cover a pond your size wouldn't be cheap wherever you go so maybe a normal liner is the more affordable option.

Will keep an eye open on eBay etc. The pond liner size is including overlap, not bothered about a box liner. Going deeper with pond to get volume when coping stones are put back on its pretty neat used a Greenseal liner last time
    Thanks

what are you running at moment ian, maybe get the liner and bottom drain in and use what you have for time being, spindrifters for liner are about £140 i think,or you could do as i did on old pond, fit a normal £20 bd but put an aerated top on and have sinking airline in pond, worked well for me,or use a freestanding aerated dome, your main thing costwise will be liner, and after 3 flat liners with all the creases that come with them i cant recommend box weld liners enough,so easy and neat,as i said before ive got some 1 1/2" valve you can have if it helps,i think i have a freestanding spindrifter top somewhere you can have cheap aswel, will have a look tomorrow, andi

Thanks Andi, bought a nexus with an oase 8500 pump. think I will relocate the Eazy Pod then put the nexus in situ before I decide what else I need. As far as the bottom drain goes I am torn between the Spindrifter And the JBR. Richard Koi come in a little cheaper at £135. Think this is what needs to be paid for the bottom drain.

i have the spindrifter and the quality is spot on,dont forget though you will need solid pipe and the direct air feed kit, think the direct feed kit comes with spindrifter, mine was unused second hand and i had to buy direct air feed seperate, chris at kitsu can sort the pipe out cheap,1 suggestion, stick k1 out of pod into nexus, will help mature quicker, congrats on the nexus/pump,andi

629ACED9-5F0F-4574-859C-77C0571A8B74.jpg hi Andi this is how tidy I got my liner last time so if I stick to the same thechnique should be no need for a box liner. Will put fish in holding tank and filter via my matured pump fed Eazy Pod that I am using at the moment. When pond is completed I will put mature K1 from Pod into outer chamber of the nexus . May hook the eazy up to new pond pump fed until I can top up. Thinking of adding about 100 gal per day until water levels in nexus and pond equalise. Pretty ideal as I have a pump fed set up to support the conversion. Think I will need to add 1000 gal slowly, will pump existing water in pond to holding tank.

well done on the anti gravity water lol,as for liner,i hated mine,i tried folding neatly to no avail, and ended up twisting it back on itself which then left a huge roll on top of pond edge which i never got flat, then i cut this off and then when i came to raise pond last time realised it was short in the corners lol,the box weld for me was just luck as someone paid the full price and then sold to me when council wouldnt let them build, but after fitting it i wouldnt go back to flat, plus even the underlay was ready to fit the size lol,as for filling up,you could fill vat with water from pond then transfer this back to pond when done,as long as you fill rest up through a dechlorinator or add some ST then fish will be fine, deffo swap media from pod to nexus and just top pod back up with nexus k1,pods really for mechanical anyway, and chuck a aquasource bomb in filter to aid with the good bio,my 5000g was straight out the tap thru a 3 pod dechlor and added ST,ive had no issues whatsoever but i did chuck 2 bombs in pond aswel, good luck with it all, andi
