Ummm I wonder where you got it from as I bought a few ball valves last year and when they turned up were completely NOT what I was told they were, contacted the guy five or six times and was told complete BS until finally he stopped answering my messages. Complete dog mate.

He listed it as 4 in ball valve with 4 in pipe connected
When I have tried to use it I found that it was 110mm
When I raised this with him he said it was the same thing then ignored me and refused to refund me the money so I had to raise with my bank who ruled in my favour
Then he has asked for it back or he would take me to a small claims court for theft of the item

Not good mate. at least you got your money back. I would return it to him if he paid the postage costs.

yes if you paid postage to recieve it then he should pay to get back, and take photos of the condition of it and packaging before sending, ive got a 4" like the one you had sat in filter house and i think that has 4" pipe in,i use rubber boots on it to join up but it leaked and took off and never got round to stripping down to clean it all,one day hahaha,,,andi

Strictly, if you've received a full refund, the valve belongs to the seller.
I ordered something from eBay and, when it arrived, it didn't match the description so it wasn't any use to me, I opened a refund case with eBay for "item not as described" which I got without delay and I sent a message to the seller that I would return the item if he sent a returns label. That arrived and I sent it back.
The total cost to me was nothing except the inconvenience and the seller had his property back but had to pay the postage both ways so should have learned not to use a false description when selling on eBay.

In that case, I would be looking for a full refund because you shouldn't suffer a financial loss as a result of being misinformed about what you were being sold unless you somehow were partly responsible which doesn't appear to be the case if you bought a valve which was incorrectly advertised as 4 inch. I would insist on a full refund and a returns label or a refund of the cost you will have to pay to return the valve.
