Closing down koi pond
I have a 4500 gallon pond that needs to go this summer as will be moving house next year.
17 Koi of which are mostly high quality ones pictures will do the justice
Of which the star of the pond is a 26 inch tancho with near perfect red spot
There is a video attached that was filmed last year underwater which gives a good idea of the quality of fish.
Pond equiptment includes a nexus 450
ea uv 55 watt
ea 120 lpm air pump
waterco cenrtifugal filter
The pond is also heated via a 1kw air source heat pump that generates 5kw of heat very efficent.
Would like to sell as a complete setup but know not always possible.

I've built my first pond after getting over all the disasters with the build I've finally got my first 4 fish in and looking empty haha

It was on that forum but due to some bad advice on prices mainly due to some so called expert in a local dealer I decided to advertise on another forum as wasn't keen on a couple of sarcastic comments
Like I have said I'm no expert but got a pond with good quality koi kept in great water quality

Closing down koi pond
Sorry to hear your closing down your pond andybwfc and i hope you find lovely homes for your koi. I do think you have to be a little more realistic with what your expecting price wise though if im honest. £1200 for a 65cm tancho with an unknown background or true age is a tad high imo. it has come from a mixed koi dealer (jap and israeli) so theres no garauntee where its actually from. It does look a lovely koi but its only worth what someone is willing to pay. Appologies if ive come across the wrong way as i havent meant to but the 2nd hand market for koi is not like the gold market unfortunatly. Its more like used cars, unless its something really special or really rare then the depreciation is massive. Also ive never heard of a nexus 450?

Hi andy
I,m interested in the air source heat pump. I know this is always a difficult question to answer but do you know approx running cost of the heater during winter. I,d be looking to heat to 50f.
Cheers ian

I'm sorrry if I seem to be putting the dampers on this, but please bare in mind Dave Dyson at Cascade is known for selling Isreali koi as is Mitchkoi
Thats probably why theres no breeder details
There some nice fish there, and good luck whith the sale
