Bulging eyes swimming on its side
One of my oldest koi, had him ~10 years, is in trouble - The symptoms are bulging eyes. First noticed the issue a couple of days ago but today he is swimming around on his side. There is no other sign of dropsy - no ulcers and no abrasions - looks perfect except for the eyes. I have another koi that has slightly bulging eyes - and that has been that way for years - this one is going down fast though.
I rather doubt there is anything that can be done at this stage, but has anyone had this before - what causes it - any precautions I should take? Water conditions are stable :- <0.25 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite 30 Nitrate pH ~8.1.
6000g in ground koi pond
+3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached

Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum

Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)
