Update. Everything is looking great. The fish are a bit more active with no flashing. UV is still off and I'm about to head out for a week. The good lady will be keeping an eye on things.

Morning to one and all,
thought it right to update you all on the pond to date. Being away for a week at a time without the UV on has not caused any issues at all. Relieved to say that the gang all seem very happy and are eating well. The water quality is still very good so I am going to leave the UV off for this week.
Your thoughts ?

That's good news Chris,
I turned my UV back on after two days, I was advised that it was okay once the colour has gone out of the water, now that they are back to normal, as best as you can tell, are you going to do another scrape, I was told to check them again after a week to see if further or different treatment was required
Hopefully it will give you the all clear4600 Gallon Concrete Block and Fiberglass

Afternoon one and all. Carried out another scrape yesterday evening and found nothing ! Not going to push my luck and will another one this evening. The pond looks healthy with all the Koi eating well. Fingers crossed
The puppy is now called Bailey or as i call him "dump truck" as he pushes his brother and sister to the limits

Sorry for not keeping this updated. All the koi seem to be very happy and the water quality remains spot on, thankfully. Only downside is our puppy Bailey is now in hospital awaiting xrays. Yesterday, one of our friends children picked him up and unfortunately dropped him, we think he may now have a broken leg !!!
So i am sitting here waiting on the call from the vets to let us know how he is, the poor little chap....

Sorry to hear about your dog hope it's nothing too serious and gets sorted ASAP.
Good news about the pond though. Hope the current weather doesn't mess things up again.

pug has a very impressive veg filter on his pond, have a look at some of his his youtube videos....
