    Help/advice required

    20180615_194425.jpg20180615_194312.jpg

Hi could anyone give me some advice on what this is and could of caused it. It's really dark around the pec muscles and as you can hopefully see one side of the koi has a little hole. I have done scrapes and found nothing and have treated the pond with ct. Due to it being the same on both front pecs I'm wondering is there something going on inside the koi between them which is causing this. Also what's best to treat it with.
    Thanks Kev

So the gills open and close correctly or does it look swollen around them ?

I had something similar with a koi that DaveJ gave me. I had to operate on it myself in the end to find that it had an internal system. I extracted all the puss and treated with antibiotics. It appeared to make a full recoverery, alas 6 months later with no signs of sickness, I found it dead at the bottom of the pond.

Don;t watch this is you are a little squeemish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00XqPN25En0

Hi and thanks for the replies
I gave des harris a call to come and inspect the pond and diagnose the koi. It seems that he thinks flukes had caused this problem although I had treated for them and that they had attacked these areas on the koi. Although one side was healing the other was not so koi was sedated and treated and again he treated my pond with a fluke treatment that can't be bought of the shelf as I had already treated the pond with 2 different very well known treatments that hadn't done what they should off. Seems some flukes are either becoming immune to these or were having a different type this year as many have had the same problem with these products. Touch wood everything now going well but I appreciate your feedback
