I was going to take the camera but forgot it.....And forgot my water test kit.
I remembered to take myself though... Just
Had i taken my camera there might have been one of me nearly going for a swim.
The pond is 5' deep with a ledge running through to the centre about 18" below the water level
With the pond being about 25' round i donned my waders and walked into the middle of the pond where i thought it would be easier to catch the fish...... guess who slipped and nearly went swimming

Myself and Pete did a return visit to see how the koi were getting on.
The koi have responded well to the treatment and improving well
We remembered the water test kit this time and everything was fine
Nothing found on scrapes we did, apart from 1 fluke which we'll keep an eye on
We sorted out the pumps for them. They have a 30000 lph pump going flat out straight into a valve thats half shut to restrict the flow as its too powerful
We used the remote to reduce the speed of the pump down to 50% and then opened the valve fully.
Good flow rate and using half the energy

Thank you very much - i had a really good day (despite the cold) learning about the fish and getting to see them up close. Josh did a brilliant job on the filter media which is looking very clear in there. I've been looking at the koi ID pages and hopefully have come up with a few names (other than Dave and Josephine) for what they actually are, so i hope you don't mind me asking lots when you come over again
