    Chillodenalla

Have treated a mate of mines pond for chillodenella yesterday with M&F. Fish still tends to go on its side quite a lot going to do potassium dip on sat if still alive plus retreat again on Tuesday with M&F. Fish has no ulcers but was wondering if anyone has got a fish through this stage to recover. Was wondering about a jab of baytril on Sat as well
    Many Thanks

Wow ! Take a step back a minute there dude. I know its tempting to try everything possible to save a fish but just stop and consider:

What is it? A koi? Or other?

Do you know for certain that chilodonella is present? ie seen it on a slide?

What leads you to believe it has a bacterial infection? You said there are no ulcers?

I am not suggesting you are wrong. Just seeking a bit more detail.

Do any other fish show any signs?

Do you have a photo and or video of the fish?

It would REALLY help people offer better advice.

Certainly Chillodonella found on scrape by myself, newly introduced Koi Approx 2 weeks ago, only fish effected (showing signs of sickness), fish was on its side and only moving when disturbed. Scales appeared red on last inspection so give it treatment as above. Fish has stabilized to some degree as it now swims upright so signs are encouraging.

I can understand your concerns as putting information regarding complex chemical/ treatments/injections into the public domain can have disastrous results if not researched and practiced with precision, (antibiotics should only be prescribed by a qualified vet ).
