Fish behaviour
Hi, a newbie question.
I have a mix of fish in my pond including some goldfish. Recently the goldfish got frisky and relentlessly pursued one of the small goldfish around the pond. The next morning the small fish was in a bad way, I got it out and into a tank but it did not survive.
I assume this is normal behaviour? Should I be doing anything? or do I leave them to get on with it and accept that there could be casualties?
Any advice appreciated.
thanks

There's not much that can be done about that.

The only thing you can do is separate the fish while it's happening or have far more females than males ... then there's less chance of one fish getting relentlessly hammered.
I've seen it happening before and fish dying because of it ... I'm careful about the balance of males/females now ...
