Are these Gill Fluke?
Hi I have been lurking in the background of the forum for some time. But this is my first post.
I have lost 3 koi this last week. Problems started when the pond temperature fell by 4deg (from 24 to 20) This happened after we eventually had rain after a long dry spell.
Pond is 2000 gallons
Filtered by a Queni 15 drum filter feeding 75 lts of K1 bio this returns to the pond via a 100gal anoxic bed
All water parameters are good. PH 7.5 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 KH 4 GH 5 please note: Welsh Water
I have just purchased an Apex practitioner Microscope and have done a couple of scrapes.

Are these Gill Fluke that I have found?
Help needed please.
Thanks Steve

Or use Flukesolve. Fluke S and Flukesolve both contain 50% praziquantel. The only difference is that Kusuri recommend retreating after 7 days, while Flukesolve recommend retreating after 3 weeks.
I questioned the manufacturers about this and they said: "the active ingredient of Fluke-Solve, praziquantel, will remain active in your pond for at least 3 weeks so will kill any emerging larvae thus effectively breaking the cycle. We recommend re-treatment after an interval of 3 weeks from the initial treatment simply to ensure that the praziquantel remains at a therapeutic level for a minimum of 6 weeks."
So you pay your money and take your choice.

Anyone here used flukasol before?
Its by NT Labs and doesn’t require mixing powders with acetone etc before use.

Never used flukasol but neither Fluke S or Flukesolve require mixing with acetone.
Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
