Whitespot advice
Hi, I've found whitespot on my fish after a scrape. The pond temperature is currently 17 degrees, I've just added the required dose of FMG and added extra air. I've turned my UV off and removed my trickle in/out.
I'm planning on re-treating Friday evening, after performing a partial water change and doing the same again approximately 7 days after that.
Does this sound suitable for whitespot at these temperatures?
I have a drum, I don't need to bypass that do I as its unlikely a drum will take out the treatment?
Any help or advice would be most welcome.
Thanks,
Dave

It sound like your about right but I'd read and follow this advice from Duncan Griffiths.

I'm on it now Adam, Duncan advises 7 clear days between treatments below 20 degrees so I`ll go with that. I`ll keep an eye on the temperatures this week as it is likely to rise but I doubt I`ll get the pond over 20.
Thanks mate,
Dave

Yep sounds right that dave hope you get it sorted and cleared up. Whitespot is a ery dangerous and quick killer as you probably know. Duncan griffiths book is excellent ist it out of curiosity how is your pond only at 17°c ?

Its fully covered Lee in a shaded area of the garden. The highest I got it to this past few months with the warm weather was just shy of 20 degrees.
I'm hoping to add an ASHP next year
