Haha. My pond is 7 feet with 6 foot of water. Its just took me 2 weeks to net a yamabuki ogon for a scrape.
Its in my qt now. Got it by putting food in. And waiting with the net.
I caught 2 fish in a oner.
So that got a scrape as well.

Microscope arrived safely and I have started a review from opening the box to setting it up. First hitch was the camera not being compatible with my Mac but found that VLC or Photo Booth works just fine . Happy days

Can you post some pictures of your new toy and what you have seen through it please?
Only when you get time that is.

Yes apex practitioner on Amazon. I got a mount to use my phone on the microscope which I have found much better than the minigrab and saves you a few quid.
Only thing that's a bit tricky is lining up the phone camera and securing it in place.

Hi Laura,
I was quite impressed with the minigrab after finding how to get it to work with a Mac. Solid when in place and have to admit at being quite impressed with it. Now need to become a bit more confident in scraping and looking for flukes etc etc.

I use a plastic gift card to take scrapes. Much safer.
