Do you have lots of algi.
This can cause ph to rise.
An increasing pH is very dangerous to pond fish, as it directly affects the toxicity of a waste chemical called ammonia, with rising pH making it far more potent.
Also do water changes to bring it down.
And stop feeding the fish .
Check bottom of pond for debris
Check filters are clean.
Vinegar i have heard brings it down
But i personally am not advising this
Go to manky sanky site. And look for PH on there. It has everything you need to know about ponds.

Have attempted a 25% water change , also no food going in the pond
Have been adding baking soda as well but to no availTHE FOOD`S LOUSY!

Hi,
copied of Manke sanke site
Bicarbonate as a buffer
Some chemicals have a preferred pH and either release H ions when the pH is higher than their preferred value until they bring the pH down to that value or, if the pH is lower than they would like, they mop up H ions until they bring the pH up to their preferred value. These chemicals are called buffers. Bicarbonate is a powerful buffer and it has a preferred pH of 8.3 to 8.4. Whatever the pH of the pond when it is added, the bicarbonate will pull it towards 8.3 - 8.4, a little bicarbonate will pull the pH gently, a lot will pull it firmly all the way and hold it there. When bicarbonate is in water with a high pH it breaks apart and it lets go of its hydrogen atom. The bicarbonate (HCO3) becomes a molecule of carbonate (CO3) with an H floating away into the water. This adds an extra H to the water and anything that adds extra Hs will be making the water more acidic. Obviously, just a single molecule doing this isn’t going to make any significant difference to the acidity of the water but, in a few grams of bicarbonate, there are astronomical numbers of molecules and they will all be doing the same thing. The net effect of bicarbonate in high pH water is to release so many of these little Hs that it begins to lower the pH.

I have to be very honest here, i don`t check my readings as often as i should do , just rely on the fish telling me when there is a problem.
So probably been rising for 5 or 6 days now .THE FOOD`S LOUSY!

I have been putting the baking power in for 3 days now in small amounts as per the dosage from here
Koiphen.com - Koiphen's Koi Calculators
Yes is the answer to rising, BUT according to the chemical equations way beyond me its meant to drop !THE FOOD`S LOUSY!

I had a high ph 2 years ago. And i was told to do a water changes and put viniger in. I did nt want to do that.
And all the ph people with a low ph put baking powder in.
So i did a 50% water change and after that 5% water change every day.
And this brought it down. I ended up 60% water change untill it was under control.
You have tried the baking powder.
So try it with out it. Up to you ray.

Yes i`m definitely going to try your method and cross my fingers.
Only other option left in the toolbox if this fails is to buy an RO setup
Thank you for your reply's

The other thing i found in ny grow on.
My ph was good for weeks. And all of a sudden it went highish. Not as high as yours but jumped.
My little fish where flashing.
My mate asked me if i had upped the air flow. I had
So i lowered the air flow. Fish stopped flashing. And my ph went back to normal.
I asked my mate what made him think of this. He said air and tempreture s.
I aint got a clue what he was talking about. But it came down.
How i look at it ray. Your not winning that way. So try another way.
You aint got nothing to lose mate.Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
