Its a fluke treatment here in the uk. There are a couple of others that have praziquantel in it.
The other one is flubendazole

Hi Laura , I don’t understand, is praziquantel in flubenzadol..? I thought that was a different chemical, Iv got some flubenzadol from my last visit home I use it in my quarantine tank but unfortunately not enough to treat my whole pond 40000 ltrs, if it’s the same or similar that would help me a lot , b,cos praziquantel is easy to get and flubenzadol not available here , thank you

Praziquantel is used here in the U.K for killing flukes, it is is numerous fluke treatments. The other treatment is flubendazole which is often used when praziquantel based treatments do not work.
It should work but make sure you dose it correctly. As with any treatments you need to turn off any UVs and keep plenty of air going in.

Generic praziquantel is very hard to dissolve. If you can dissolve it then it should kill your flukes, so long as they are not resistant. You can use formalin to dissolve it in, but takes an awful lot of shaking.
You will need a second treatment if there are gill flukes involved.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Flubenzadol is usually dissolved in hot water ,can praziquantel be dissolved in hot water the same . If it’s dissolived in formalin how much formalin, would I dissolve it in an amount that would be a dose for my pond (40000) ltrs or just a little , I really need to be precise because the labels on the treatments here are all in Thai script . I have a fluke problem and just completed a 3 stage treatment of dimilin that’s not worked 100%

The general advice is to try to first mix it into a paste with the formalin, since if you add too much it becomes very difficult to get it to mix at all. Once it's taken on a non-lumpy paste type consistency you can then gradually add more formalin to make it into a more runny liquid. The amounts needed here should be an awful lot less than any pond treatment dose of the formalin would be. People have been known to use Vodka as a solvent instead.
I don't think you will find hot water at all successful- this stuff repels water completely. It is this problem with solubility that prompted the manufacturers of FlukeSolve to come up with a formation that allowed it to be soluble, and why FlukeSolve is a lot more expensive.
That said, I think my drum took out the FlukeSolve from my pond way too quickly last time I used it. But if your mechanical filtration is not so fine and rapid this would be less of a problem. Treating flukes when you have a drum is a new challenge for many of us these days. I think it's necessary to bypass the screens unfortunately.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

So if I can use vodka I could use the local white whiskey it’s 95% proof clear like vodka and 50 p a pint ? Cheaper than formalin lol , being from Yorkshire these things are important

Your spot on there feline. I believe. When i used it last year. Fluke P. I did dose with ever thing running.
Never touched them.
Then i turned drum off for twelve hours. And UVs Also scrubbing above water line with the fluke solve P. Still running my filter. But with out drum turning over. I.e. skimmer and nexus. Scraped them and they where gone. Lee suggested to me about drum and trickle in and out. So shut them down. And it was good advice. Worked for me.

Is it made by kusuri ? What I need to know is about dissolving praziquantel in vodka / white whiskey, I,v ordered a 250 gram pack from Bangkok to have in stock , and asked my dealer to find out everything about it because the label will be in Thai script , he is a local agent for the stockist in Bangkok so should be easy for him and he spreaks a little English , I can speak Thai but cannot read it . Thanks Freddy much appreciated . Regards John
