I,m not sure what composit decking is , what is it made from , I need something new to cover my filters and strong enough to walk on , our woods are all hardwood so very expensive, we have something called copy wood which some sort of concrete fibre but heavy and I need to be able to lift off sections off . Iv seen a new product that looks like wood decking ,ribbed and tongued and grooved but it’s some sort of plastic in various colours and the framing for underneath is plastic and it clips together. Really really good but more expensive than wood .i think buy the time I can afford it they,ll have stopped stocking it lol

We’ve just clad our house in a composite product called “ultrashield” instead of using Cedar. It’s brilliant stuff, doesn’t fade, washes clean and actually looks like wood. Comes in a few natty colours too if that’s your thing. It’s a bit cheaper than cedar too but can be tricky to get hold of as like most composites, it’s shipped over from China. There are a few UK manufacturers though so worth doing some googling.
Carried out loads of research, received samples from pretty much every manufacturer in the world an Trex was one of the better ones but they didn’t do a cladding profile unfortunately.
Use like you would any timber.
