Hi, i would valiue peoples opinions oin the two Showas. I know one has a lot of sumi to come and is probably a risk but i wonder how it will develop.showa 1.jpegshowaq2.jpeg

Thank you, my wife chose the first, it looks stunnning in a bowl but a little small, the 2nd i chose, the beni is really deep but time will tell as it may have to much sumi, i think it might be better iff it lost a bit of sum but time will tel and i reckon i will learn a lot from it.

Hard to tell from the pictures but the second looks to have a far better body shape, however unfortunately looks like it will go very black. The first has heavy beni and limited pattern. in my opinion the second with grow larger and have a better future body provided both fish are given the same living conditions, but the first showa will look more pleasing to the eye.

I have to say the 2nd one would also be my pick of the 2 it could be very sumi heavy once developed but showa can change very quickly in my experience. I bought an isa showa that looked like it was set to be a corker only 6 months later its sumi packed up and left home its a good grower but the sumi has never really shown up again. Im still very hopeful though that one day it will look like it did at tosai. Im now more inclined to look at nisai minimum for any future showa purchases as i think its alot less risk with them

I prefer the Showa in pic 2 - you should try to post images as they grow and develop - will be interesting to see how they mature.
