    Does anyone know a stockist of these Little beautiful fish?? I had 4 a few years ago and they coloured up fantastic it was like having tropical fish in the pond, I also had a bamboo shark that grew at a fantastic rate and was stunning biscuit brown with black bands and a huge dorsal fin,

    Would love a bamboo shark like. Never seen one of the bitterlings tho .

    Cheezus Christ 50 quid a pair I paid 20 for four last time, but I'm tempted still they are lovely and been looking on eBay for ages and only photos are available , thanks for looking the bud

    They look very pretty.

    Downside is they could be a contender for the bottom drain.

    I know, I know, always someone to put a downer on things lol.

    Great news if you don't have a bottom drain.

    Had to Google Bitterling.

    I've had two bamboo sharks, one I bought as a juvenile and one I hatched from an egg. I was clueless back then though. Fully grown bamboo sharks need about 2000gallons in my opinion
    Juvenile one outgrew the aquarium immediately before it had to go. Even the hatchling was within a year.
    Steep learning curve. Had to run o-zone through a protein skimmer and al sorts. Bloke in the shop should never have sold me them.

    This was when it had to go, as couldn't fit in a larger tank:
