Any of you peeps know owt about small claims court (got an odd case)

Looking to potentially pick some brains a little if any of you know anything about small claims court proceedings.

Basically Iím looking to try and recover the monetary value of some lost property, that has been lost as the guy I gave them too (for a commission based sale) has been working with the criminal fraternity - been caught and thrown in jail and (last I knew anyway) was spending time at her majestyís pleasure as they say, and looong story short itís meant that Iíve basically lost what I gave him and now need to try and somehow recover there monetary value as Iíve been told that chances are theyíve been destroyed!!

Iíve been to citizens advice today and all they could really ďadviseĒ was Iíd really need to speak to a solicitor about this, but Iím reluctant to do this as every penny I spend pursuing this is less money Iíd ďpotentiallyĒ see back at the end of it obviously Any of you peeps know owt about small claims court (got an odd case)

I did look at filling out a small claims court application myself, but I came unstuck pretty quickly because itís not like this fella is dead (well not to my knowledge anyway), heís banged up so how the hell do I pursue this as his business is obviously no longer operating. Does this mean pursuing this through his family!?

Tbh Iím not even sure that what I have (the invoice he gave me when he took my property) is proof enough of my ownership to actually pursue this!?

    Anyone!??

FYI it was three antique firearms that was part of my inheritance from when my father passed away that I gave to a gun dealer in Ashbourne to sell on my behalf.

Couldnít have come at worse time really either as Iíve recently found out that my car needs even more money spending on it as thereís a suspension issue and my exhaust is failing/blowing tooAny of you peeps know owt about small claims court (got an odd case)

Do you have any proof that you owned the firearms..
Do you have any proof that you handed the guns over..

The firearms dealer did the police consfigate his stock!!!!!!
If so and you have all the info above then im sure that the police may hand them back over to you.....

If you adament of going to the small claims then good look on that as i know of quite a few people waiting for some form of cash payment years later..
Many dont pay the money as there is nothing to chase up the monies owed u less you want to pay up for somebody to do that....

Iíve got the invoice the dealer gave me when he took them off me and a deactivation cert for the one gun that needed it, but other than that nothing!

Iíve already been told by someone thatís involved that because of the serious nature of what this guy was doing (was deemed as terrorism!) that any guns that were in his possession that could not be 100% traced back to there respective owners were to be destroyed, so chances of me getting mine back have long passed!!

It was dealt with by the national crime agency along with Birmingham and chesterfield police!

I hate to say this but you may have to let it go....

You could rack up a few hefty bills....

But i would ask the police again though....
