Sees the red mist
There are many many instances in life that really infuriate me but what really gets my blood boiling and the red mist comes down.
Hitting women.
Child abuse.
Animal cruelty.
Now this morning whilst having a brew with the missus and a few friends i whitnessed a guy leather his dog on the main street and it was scared senseless...
So me being me I hobbled over with my walking stick and did my bit...
Here mate if you so ever touch that poor dog again i will ram my fist down your throat and turn you inside out..
Yeah yeah yeah heard it all before....
Tell you what just hand me the lead and you walk away..
And if i dont.
Well by this time i sussed he was a druggie which isnt an excuse in my eyes..
So he threatened me in no uncertain terms.
Which by this time a mate of mine was heading my way and somebody had phoned the police...
Last chance hand me the lead and you walk...
Or what!!!
Find out....
What i didnt see was another mate of his who came over who he handed the lead to but my mate got hold of it instead..
I handed my walking stick to him aswell.
And he went for me.....
Lets just say he was in a heap on the floor just as the police arrived...
My mate walked away with the dog and drove to his mums with it to hand to a friend of his who will look after it....
Police arrested the guy for alsorts as they had been looking for him and he had a ban from the shopping centre aswell which he violated...
A copper told me to walk away as they didnt see a thing and neither did the security...
And all i wanted was a quiet brew n a chat....
The dog will have life now that it would never ever would have had with that lowlife..
You get what you pay for...

Well done Ant, I'm normally pretty passive and avoid confrontation generally but I'm with you on this one.
Over the years we have had 8 rescue dogs and every one came with issues caused by scumbags mistreating them, Every single one of them turned into the most loving & loyal companions you could ever wish to have and they all still hold a special place in my heart.
Massive kudos to the copper & security guys who saw nothing

I tip my hat to you water dog for taking on 8 rescue dogs over the years .
Our Jasper and raisin are two rescue dogs from the same litter....
Daughter brought them home at 3wks old and they where 11 last week......
We are thinking of enrolling at the labrador rescue after these have gone over the rainbow bridge.......You get what you pay for...

Good work Ant.
Don't want to mess with you that's for sure.
I'm not a dog person but like cats and the 2 we currently have both came from an RSPCA place near by about 1 year apart and they didn't get on at first but now they even sleep on our bed side by side during the day sometimes. They still fight each other occasionally though but nothing serious.
Can't agree more with what you did and what the reaction you got from the police etc.
You deserve a medal mate.

Oh yeah the cat.
Yes we have a cat aswell our smudge is about 15yrs old if not older..
She was another rescue kitten by our daughter runt of the litter and the last to go.
Our daughter brought her home as they where going to drown her if i remember correctly and 15yrs on smudge is still here alive and ruling the roost....You get what you pay for...

Good man. Not many people have the guts to stand up for wrong doing. That dog will gave a chance at a life now and I bet it will always remember you and your mate.

People seem to take inadequacies and unhappiness out on defenceless animals..It turns my stomach TBH...My mum owns a cattery but routinely takes cats in free of charge for the RSPCA.Without exception, they end up being the most affectionate and loyal pets.
