Must be something going on today as I was expecting a DPD delivery between 9 and 10 this morning at 11 I got a text saying they are delayed and will attempt to deliver by 6 pm
There are 2 companies that I don't know how they stay in business and they are DPD and G4S both are totally crap in my opinion going by my dealings with them (DPD) and the way they work (G4S)
I'm always having delivery issues with DPD and the way G4S handled the 2012 Olympics and other recent major events were the biggest jokes of all

DPD and Hermes have been ok for us with deliveries..
But APC are total crap....
They where supposed to deliver within 24hrs a consignment of live fish as they pride themselves upon doing so..
I got confirmation that they had been collected from the guy i purchased them from..
I then got an time slot before 9am the next day..
Never arrived..
Not even buy 12 noon...
So i was frantic with the condition by now of the fish.....
After numerous calls and being fed utter and complete lies i contacted Head Office and demanded to speak to whoever...
So i explained to the guy and he said give me an hr.
10mins later a call from from the distribution centre and they said they didnt have any live stock deliveries that day....
He said he would check for me..
He called back and said they where in preston waiting to be collected....not a chance.
They should have been sent to Bolton for delivery but ghey wont take them down either to Bolton in an nondesignated delivery..
Only way was to drive to.preston..
Well for one i paid for delivery as you are licensed to do and two i dont drive....
Cant do anything until they come to Bolton....
Teatime i get a txt saying they where to be delivered by 9am the next day but i knew they where all dead by then...
And yes they where all dead on delivery the next day...
So i had the process of claiming etc and what a ball ache it was i had the threaten them with takinv them to court to have their live stock license revoked before i got any compo and then i had to sign a disclaimer to say i had accepted their offer and wont make a counter claim...
So there you have it apc are crap..You get what you pay for...

As you know the courier that collected the barrel filter from you and delivered it to me were a day later than they should have been probably due to the fact that the managed to break the FTC in the bottom of it. Think that might have been Hermes? I wouldn't have used DPD even if they were the cheapest option by a long way.
Any way hope you get your bathroom sorted ASAP if not just for your sake but your mum's too lol

Most tilers prefer to tile straight on the ply now as the adhesives and grouts have improved dramatically whereas the quality of the ply has deteriorated and may blow with any extra moisture.

I never have added anything like a PVA or SBR sealant to any ply before tiling and have never had any problems.
But a belt and braces approach is always good in any construction project. If you already have the SBR then use it but certainly don't go and buy any.
Good news on the plumber btw

1/16th will fill with adhesive easily. Just gives that little play in the boards to be safe
