    Just wanted a moan

I,v lost my thermometer,Iv had it years just a cheap glass floating one always leave it in my last filter bay , so you-would think it would be easy to go buy a new one, but this thailand. Bought one yesterday £1 super , it didn’t float so when I eventually fished it out it didn’t work , but that’s normal here , stuf& not working , and no they won’t change it . So I went to town again today to 8 different aquarium shops with masses of tanks of tropical fish , and nobody had a thermometer, crazy , they don’t need heaters in aquariums so why have thermometers is how they think so if I want one I,ll have to go to a swimming pool shop and they,re £20 marvellous. I feel better now Iv had a good moan lol

    Just wanted a moan

Agree with you there fred mate, its not that bad over our way. We Still hit -4 ambient air some mornings but not had the snow as heavy as other parts of the country ay. Still nothing like the antarctic peninsula though lol, sailing through iceberg fields where some bergs was the size of football pitches. That was truely freezing and the coldest ive ever felt that was ha ha.

Mine is 4.8c. No covers. At 1 foot in water. I am going to look for a thermometer that i can put six foot down. To see what it is down there.
    I am intrigued.

    Just wanted a moan

I have mine in the inlet of the drum mate so its reading the temp of the water coming in from bottom of the pond Just wanted a moan but if i stick one in the pond even 6” deep it reads the same as the one in drum. Im not 100% theres any if much difference at depths to tell the truth unless really deep or soley in ground? Mine isnt long enough to reach bottom either mate or i would go have a curious nosey now and see. Suppose i could go as deep as i can though hmmmm got me curious too lol
