Hi John,
Very early stage mate, I only just started using it last night, and so far they aren't touching it, but I'm sure they will when they get hungry. Lol.
I made a bit of a cock up yesterday after cleaning the Nexus and didn't open the return valves, so have spend 24h without my filters going. Anyway, when I realised and opened them this morning the amount of lumps of poo that came up from the BDs was incredible, so I'm now thinking the Medikoi isn't as clean as I thought.

Maybe you need to purge them more often Jay,mine are really into the Ultimate mix now and cant get enough of it though i am still getting some floating poo in the mornings.

Hi Guys, just a quick update (particularly for John).
My fish have been exclusively on the QK for about a month now and seem to love it, they eat more enthusiastically than before.
A big thing for me, and obviously everyone else, is waste, and I don't see any at all, not even hanging out of the back of the fish, which is fantastic.
All in all I'm extremely pleased with this food, so thank you all for the recommendation.

Hi John,
I'm not sure how much better it can be, so I think it's great for any price.
My memory is so bad, I can't remember what I ended up going for, but it's not ultimate, as it's just one colour pellet. I went for one of the more expensive ones though. Lol.
I'm now having issues with my auto feeder, it is mixing info up on its display, so I'm not sure if it's in the right mode or not, but I'm too busy to get the time to have a look at it.

Hi Jason,
Maybe it was the ultimate you went for as it is one of the expensive ones and all one colour,it is the mix that has different colours.
I have had a lot of brown tinging to the water this year which i am putting down to the food change so may go back to the Jap mix when this runs out,but the koi love the ultimate.
Dont know much about feeders as i hand feed so cant help you there Jason.John

I have been feeding premium growth. For 2 x seasons. But i must say.
For growth of the fish. This is the best season yet.
I have a few fish. That where 4 inch a year ago. And grew in my qt over winter. But added them to the pond in the spring. There between 12 to 14 inch now. So i am sticking to this food.
Love it.

I did a lot of research on food and read so many good things about the ultimate mix, so I went with this and its been fantastic. I have noticed good growth and an increase in colour vibrancy with minimal waste.
The box states do not feed under 14 degrees however my pond is sitting at 12c-13c and they are lapping it up still! Should I continue to feed this against the advice or switch wheat germ already?

I am similar temp to you and still feeding the same mix, though some will say to switch to wheatgerm.

Hi Lee,
To be honest i have been feeding loads this season and my pond is still brown, but i have had the best growth since i have kept koi and i put it down to the Ultimate mix, fantastic growth some doubling in size but the brown water ----- cant stand it.
Nearly finished the supply now but not too sure what to order next.
How are you Lee?
You havnt been on for a bit so i presume you have been for the reversal, hope you are fine mate.John
