I'm currently at 15c and am feeding 50% staple and 50% wheatgerm.
Once I hit 10/11c I will switch to just wheatgerm

Same here..still at 25 degrees heated and feeding Saki Hikari growth right now. Planning on lowering the temperature to 21-22 degrees at the end of the month and switching to SK Balance.

Now onto JPD Fuyufuji sinking for the winter, temps down below 13c for the last few days. Still giving them a little higher protein feed when active in the afternoon but that will stop shortly.

I am also unheated and feed high protein all year round. what the fish don't digest will just be excreted. No need to change just reduce the amount

I tend to feed wheat germ at anything below 16.5c. It's easy enough on the fishes gut and easy on the wallet. The other thing I've found that higher protein foods at lower temps tend to ruin water quality and promote egg production.

i am unheated. pond at 4c. so stopped feeding. i will only put food in now if 6c above. and that will be QK jap mix. i never change to wheat germ. so you could say the fish are on a diet.

still feeding, though from the weekend they will probably go unfed for at least 2 months as ill be away working, looking at them they have to much visceral fat as it is, so it will do them some good to slim down

My pond is heated but set to 10c - I don't feed them for a couple of months over winter - and use wheatgerm under 15c - otherwise high protein, silkworm pupate, dried river shrimps/prawns and silkworm pellets.

Until the temperature consistently hits 10c I feed them regular food, then switch the wheatgerm
