I used to feed all sorts and the koi ended up being fussy eaters

Sea food sticks , prawns , mussels , pearl barley , steamed fish , all mixed with orchard fisheries koi pellets made into sinkers with a pellet pump and a good hand full of sturgeon pellets .

Peas / sweet corn , brown bread , maggots , worms from my wormery , egg pancakes mixed with pellets etc etc ..

They loved it all and good growth but what i was finding was certain koi started to eat certain foods , a bit like humans eating there favorite food which is not a balanced diet so i sacked it off .

I still feed treats but only every other day after they have had there koi / sturgeon pellets .

Had better growth this year considering i,m way way over stocked i need to thin out

Mealworms everyday with their normal premium growth pellets, bit of sweetcorn now and again and prawns occasionally although they never seem over impressed with them! Must have some fussy Koi I think!!!
