Mixed weather yesterday at Coventry - Rain, cold, sun shine and Wind!!
Temperature wise neither mild nor very cold - between 7 and 4 C
Started the pump, the filter and the Air Pump..
Added 0.5 ppm Ammonia and the live bacteria
Water temperature measure yesterday at 6 pm was 6 degree but the weather is improving and will be very mild with highs of between 10 - 12 for the next few week. So that's good.
I work away from home Mondays to Thursdays. So will check and update progress on Thursday evening.
Don't know if any bacteria will establish during this week.

Haven't started the UV and the heat pump yet. Will put a temporary cover (have a plan to built a DIY fish house - that will take time!!) to start the heat pump soon.

A colder start this morning with a touch of frost. We do have clear skies however, and today is forecast to be a fine and sunny day. Temperatures will recover and become quite mild this afternoon. Becoming chilly again tonight though under clear skies with a slight frost by dawn.

Current temp is 0.2c and the pond is on 12.7c.

A fine morning with clear spells and quite mild. Theres been a heavy dew once again, but the day ahead will be and pleasant day for mid February with sunny spells. Temperatures will be near average or slightly above. A cooler night to come with maybe a ground frost.

Current temp is 7.1c and the pond is on 12.4c.

Quite a few mild days with maybe record breaking high temps this week? Its overcast right now with a light breeze, so no sign of the sun yet (10:50)

Outside in the open its 12.6c 69% RH in the shade its 11.1c.
The pond is slowly climbing up, currently @ 9.9c, whilst in the polytunnel its 14.2c (has hit 18+ on occasions).
Thinking of putting the auto feed back on, as Im hand feeding most days currently?

I bet winter is not done with us yet?

Clear skies to greet the new day (my birthday!) with a reddish tinge. It is dry again, no frost and its set to be another very mild and sunny day with almost calm winds. Not much change into tonight though maybe a greater chance of some fog.

Current temp is 3.0c and the pond is on 12.7c.
