A cool, bright and sunny start but some high cloud is approaching from the NW. it will remain dry this morning but showers are forecast for this afternoon. Any showers will clear this evening with a dry, cool night to come. It will be a cooler day than yesterday.

Current temp is 13.6°c and the pond is on 17.7°c.

It’s been quite a chilly night but it’s a blue sky morning with some strong sunshine helping to recover the temperatures. It will remain dry today but with cloud bubbling up, still with some pleasant sunny spells. Cool in the shade or cloud but warm in the sun by this afternoon. Cool and clear tonight before cloud and rain reaches us by dawn.

Current temp is 12.6°c and the pond is on 16.6°c.

After a less cold night, it is a cloudy start and some light rain has started to fall in the last half hour. Rain will continue through the morning, but nothing too heavy as the worst of it will pass to the north. Things will dry up later this afternoon but it will remain cloudy. Fairly cool through today, but warmer and drier for tomorrow.

Current temp is 13.2°c and the pond is on 16.7°c.

A bit of drizzle first thing but it’s brighter now with sunny spells coming through. Today will be a bit warmer than yesterday with more sunshine about, but cloud will also be ever present. Dry tonight but rather cloudy so not too chilly.

Current temp is 16.1°c and the pond is on 16.2°c.

A fairly benign start to the day, dry with some hazy sunshine, light winds and not too chilly. Today will continue to some sunshine at times, though it may become more cloudy this afternoon. Reasonably warm for early September too. Some rain tomorrow before cooling off into midweek.

Current temp is 15.2°c and the pond is on 16.5°c.

It’s an overcast morning here with a bit of light drizzle in the air at times, but barely dampening the ground. It will remain rather cloudy today with further bits and pieces of rain at times. It is quite mild though with light to moderate winds. Any rain should clear away overnight and a cooler out for the rest of the week is in store.

Current temp is 17.3°c and the pond is on 17.1°c.

We’ve had a tiny amount of rain at around dawn this morning but it is now dry again although still rather cloudy. The air feels a bit cooler and fresher compared to this time yesterday. The day should slowly brighten and some sunshine is expected this afternoon.

Current temp is 11.7°c and the pond is on 17.3°c.

It’s been a chilly night with a low of just 4.9°c at 04:30. It is however, a bright and sunny morning and temperatures are slowing recovering. The day will remain dry and it should feel pleasant enough by mid-afternoon with sunny spells continuing. Dry and cool again tonight.

Current temp is 11.6°c and the pond is on 16.1°c.

    The Daily pond temp thread

    South Norfolk

Definitely getting cooler, cold last night as was most nights previously, a real mixture of wet days & sunshine, & don’t forget the ever present East Anglian winds! Will warm up over the next few days with forecast’s of early twenties again?

Outside in the open @ 10:30 it’s 23.1°c 42% RH in the shade it’s 15.2°c. The polytunnel is climbing again, currently 30.6°c (all closed up) trying to maintain some stability, pond is barely holding on to 20.0°c
My experiment of using the polytunnel for the whole year has been in my eyes a great justification in helping the koi recover quickly from the early problems (that most people seemed to experience) of poor winter (wet) spring, (really cold). The one word is “stability” , again I have held pond temperatures of more than 20°c for months, same as last year.
koi are still on six feeds, soon to drop to five, etc.... roll on into winter!!

It has been less cold overnight thanks to more cloud. So we’re off to a rather cloudy start with some hazy sunshine trying to break through. There is the chance of one or two light showers later this afternoon but shouldn’t amount to much. Temperatures will be near average at about 18°c or so.

Current temp is 13.5°c and the pond is on 16.2°c.

Cloudy this morning but it is dry and fairly mild. There is the chance of a shower or two later and there will generally be less sun than yesterday. Winds will be light to moderate, so all in all, not too bad for mid-September.

Current temp is 15.7°c and the pond is on 16.2°c.

Warm and humid this morning with some early drizzle making for a damp start. The cloud is showing signs of breaking now though and we should see some sunshine later on, but always a lot of cloud. It will be a warm day if rather breezy at times.

Current temp is 17.1°c and the pond is on 17.4°c.

Mostly dry, windy and warm this morning. There has been a few spots of drizzle about an hour ago, but it’s now dry and overcast. Skies will brighten through the morning with a few sunny breaks expected. It will remain windy throughout but also quite warm and humid.

Current temp is 16.1°c and the pond is on 17.8°c.

A cloudy and dry morning with the wind picking up once again. It is another fairly warm start too. There maybe some sunshine this morning in ever strengthening winds, but skies will cloud up this afternoon and there maybe an odd shower or two. It will be a blustery day but quite warm again.

Current temp is 17.3°c and the pond is on 17.8°c.

It’s reasonably mild again this morning and the strong winds of yesterday have subsided. There has been some rain and more is expected at times throughout the day with some drier interludes too. It will become windy again this evening and overnight with a spell of heavy rain.

Current temp is 14.5°c and the pond is on 17.3°c.

A cooler and breezy start with sunny spells but also some dark, ominous looking clouds too. There are expected to be a few heavy showers today, blowing in on a brisk WNW breeze. It will be cooler than of late. Showers fading this evening with a dry and cool night to come.

Phew that was a blow!!! A couple of days of very blustery winds, but again next to no rain here. The forecast is for similar but getting cooler by day & nights.

Outside in the open @ 11:15 temperature is 16.7°c RH is 49%, in the shade it’s 14.4°c, the polytunnel is holding temps up still, currently it’s 26.8°c in there ( all closed up) the pond has rallied from 20 to 20.7°c.
Koi on five feeds a day still hungry, but appear to be more languid or slowing down, not long before food changes to winter grub with garlic.

After a much cooler day yesterday, we’re off to another cool start with overcast skies and light winds. We may see some rain again today as we on northern extent of the main rain band to our south. Without much sun today, it will be another rather cool day. Dry tonight ahead of a wet and windy day tomorrow.

Current temp is 11.6°c and the pond is down at 14.6°c. Koi all still active though and feeding well.

It’s been quite cold overnight with clear skies. It is though, a nice and sunny morning and temperatures are slowing recovering. It will remain dry today with light winds and sunshine continuing. It will feel pleasant enough in the sunshine. Dry and clear again tonight and becoming chilly once again.
