how thick is your polycarbonate pond cover?

I'm currently looking at building a polycarbonate pond cover.
what thickness do most people use?

as looking at some websites there doen't seem to be much difference in thermal performance between 25mm and 35mm?

    Roof Glazing Thickness U Value
    Polycarbonate 16mm 2.4w m/2k
    Polycarbonate 25mm 1.6w m/2k
    Polycarbonate 35mm 1.5w m/2k
    Clear Tripleshield Glass 24mm 1.2w m/2k

Last time I went for 25mm, partly insulation but mainly further strength when it gets snow on if laid flat

    Hi DTF,

I went for 35mm, added strength and hopeful of better insulation..... i did have a look about and the best price i could find was from the Roofing Superstore, these panels also come with the edges taped where others did not from what i could see, cheers Steve.

    thanks for the replies,
Looking at the prices on your link smartin per 1.2 x 3 mtr panel there is only about £15 difference in it... £96 vs £111
    for 25mm to 35mm.
so 35mm looks the way to go...
