Agree lol. That photo window was atlantica
Cost a bomb. But I bought it before the build like a mug. Don't get me wrong I love the window.
But when my builder did my other window.
I fell through the floor. When he told me what it cost. That's when I realised I had been a mug. Haha. Live and learn

Its who you know as well lol. That counts for a lot lol. That is some saving on that quote Steve. Good on you.
My four sons all know lots of contacts.
But it was all after the lord mayors show.
So to speak. I went mad at them when they started quoting this and that. Reason they all went over my plans. And not once did they say I will get you this or that dad.
The positive that came out of it. Is now when doing stuff on the house I am right on that phone to them. And save loads now.
But I ain't seen nothing that beats koi tax.
Only maybe mortgage tax .

curved besides costing more, will also distort the view, depending on the degree of curve and most likely annoy you

I had a similar experience recently. I was looking for 4.3m x 1m curved infinity window.
ATL acrylic single piece came back at 18k + vat delivered to site (but not across site) and installed. Extra 1.5k for custom radius if their stock 4m radius wasn't acceptable.
Went to 2 piece curved option at 2.1 x 1m as per the 2nd you tube clip above (which incidentally ATL said they made), £10k + 1.5k for the stanchion + vat, again delivered and installed.
Went to Atlantica for the two bits of glass instead, £3,800 for the glass only. £7,600 if provided in a frame which I would prefer as any deviation in support from the wall on the glass would create a high load point and shatter it.
I've changed the design now and gone to three pieces of straight glass so will reprice both acrylic and glass again (although I'd prefer acrylic).
