Drum finished , new spray bar done, front drum support finished second chamber cut out, black drum reworked and straight as a arrow now busy day having issues copying the small drive gear the I need a band saw probably one of the only tools I don't have

And before anyone comments I know the drums are different sizes and it's doing my head in but there's reason , the larger drum will be taking two skimmer feeds aswell as a bottom drain the smaller one will just be dealing with a bottom drain

Well the way I've worked it out would be described as sloped edges like a valley on opposite sides of the drum, a valley on each side, fix both edges of mesh in one valley as tight as you can do it sits even, rotate the drum and use a suitable bar that will slide down between the slopes and as you screw it down it gives final even tension the pictures might explain it better

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
