    Splitting return feedinto two returns

Got a dead spot in my new pond build in one corner. has waste accumulating. Ive put t down to all the rain we has when i was installing and the ground has subsided slightly in one corner. Despite benching , the sodding lot. bit gutted as i really went to town with a 2m spirit level checking gradient to the drain.

So i need to split my 50mm return from the pump into two returns

Going to get a tangential return and keep the existing return.

yes existing is 50mm so going to reduce that to 40mm in order to maintain current as I am adding another 40mm with the tangential.

This if pointed correctly at the "naught Corner" will correct this problem i believe

Am i right in thinking i can just y split the 50mm return and reduce this to 40mm the tangential. and then put a 40mm reducer in the 50mm return. This way i maintain a decent current in the pond despite the split.

anyone else had a similar experience?

    thanks

    Jim

I'd just drop a small airstone down in the naughty corner just to stop any settlement if it's only a little bit, anything else sounds like work Splitting return feedinto two returns

solved the problem by putting a 45 degree bend into the outlet and angling it down slightly. this has created a strong circular current round the pond circulating this dead spot into the drain.

took a couple of days before i saw the effect at full power but well worth it.

shame I experimented with this after buying a tangetial return in the panic ! ha ha

    nevermind
